Loft Lid
Loft lids or loft caps are designed to protect donwlights from causing insultation to degrade or compost. Loft lids are made from fire retardant plastic designed specifically to prevent fire occurring in insulation. The lid helps to create and airtight seal over the downlight.

The Loft Lid is made from fire resistant plastic. The lid will help create an airtight seal over the downlight. Insulation materials can then be laid over the top of the loft cap to create an air gap.
Loft Lid has passed IP6X (airtightness and dustproof test) and BSEN60598-1 (high heat resistance test). Loft Lid is designed to comply with modern house building regulations to help improve air-tightness and provide continuous loft insulation coverage.
Loft Lid Installation Guide
Install by running a bead of silicone around the recessed edge and around the wire outlet hole, then position the lid centrally above the top of the downlight. Allow to set before laying down insulation.
